Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s ‘Strange’ Visit to Nigeria

Jack Dorsey in Nigeria

“Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey is in Nigeria; pays a visit to CcHUB.” That’s pretty much what we know. For this sort of ‘special visit’ your basic instincts would be to ask “what did he come for?” or “what did he say?” Well, he hasn’t specifically told us what he came for, neither did he make any speech. The best we know is from a tweet where he revealed that he would be touring 4 African countries in November.

His tweet read: “Headed to Africa for all of November! Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa. Going to spend a lot of time with entrepreneurs, including @betelhem_dessie @noelkudu @GETNETASEFFA!”

During his visit at CcHUB, Jack only took photographs with owners of the facility and other tech innovators at the venue before he left for another undisclosed venue. According to Siera, head, Logistics, Twitter, the visit is a low key event and that he was not meant to make any official statement.

“He only came to learn a few things and leave for his base. But he will be back next year,” Siera said.

Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg visited a couple years ago but that was more of a visit than Jack’s current visit.

We can only wonder what the Twitter boss has to come learn in Nigeria. There’s certainly a lot that could be learned from the continent’s largest economy. Meanwhile, on a lighter note he has learnt what ‘bawo ni’ means.

It’s essential to draw up a “things to do” list on a daily basis and set priorities in executing them, making sure that any unfinished task get posted to the next day’s list.~Folorunsho AlakijaTweet
